{"id":37485,"date":"2018-05-15T15:39:36","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T15:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/govt-prioritises-honoring-of-presidential-pledges\/"},"modified":"2018-05-18T09:06:01","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T09:06:01","slug":"govt-prioritises-honoring-of-presidential-pledges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/govt-prioritises-honoring-of-presidential-pledges\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt prioritises honoring of presidential pledges\u2014Minister Uwizeye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uwizeye said this on Tuesday while speaking to the media shortly after the discussions with Parliamentary National Budget and Patrimony Committee on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2018\/2019 and Budget Framework Paper 2018\/2019-2020\/2021 with Parliamentary National Budget and Patrimony Committee on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2018\/2019 and Budget Framework Paper 2018\/2019-2020\/2021<\/p>\n<p>Kagame pledged different activities to people including roads, hospitals, and industries among other infrastructure. <\/p>\n<p>Uwizeye said that since 2010, Kagame made a total of 312 pledges. Currently, a total of 248 have been implemented, 45 are under underway while 19 are yet to start.<\/p>\n<p>She said that financial constraints hamper quick implementation of presidential pledges, but noted that they give them particular consideration.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cPledges by president which are yet to be implemented were delayed  by country\u2019s modest financial means. There are many things which need money, but, we do our best to prioritise those pledges. When they are not attained in such fiscal year, we do our best to accomplish them in the following year,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe majority of 19 remaining pledges are in next fiscal year, the few remaining are caused by financial means, but we keep them in mind.
