{"id":37434,"date":"2018-05-07T11:24:19","date_gmt":"2018-05-07T11:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwigaras-return-to-court-hearing-adjourned\/"},"modified":"2018-05-09T10:23:34","modified_gmt":"2018-05-09T10:23:34","slug":"rwigaras-return-to-court-hearing-adjourned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwigaras-return-to-court-hearing-adjourned\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwigaras return to court, hearing adjourned"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Diane Rwigara was represented by Lawyer C\u00e9lestin Buhuru and her mother Mukangemanyi Counsel Gatera Gashabana.<\/p>\n<p>Before the hearing started, Gashabana requested the presiding judge to adjourn the hearing as he had another hearing at the same time in Supreme Court, and Lawyer Buhuru Okayed the request saying that he has no worry with the adjournment. <\/p>\n<p>Prosecution, represented by Rugambwa Ndibwami , did not oppose the adjournment.  The presiding judge decided to adjourn the hearing to May 22nd 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Diane Rwigara is accused of forgery related charges, a crime she allegedly committed when she was seeking signatures to endorse her candidacy to run in last year\u2019s presidential elections. Her mother Mukangemanyi is accused of divisionism and discrimination. The duo jointly face charges related to inciting insurrection.<\/p>\n<p>The duo had been accused with Anne Rwigara who was granted bail in October last year by Nyarugenge Intermediate Court saying that there was no evidence connecting her to the accusations. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-25087 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/dsc_1259-7-49e01.jpg\" alt=\"Adeline Mukangemanyi Rwigara \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-25086 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/dsc_1284-2-c5b25.jpg\" alt=\"Diane Shima Rwigara\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diane Shima Rwigara and her mother Adeline Mukangemanyi Rwigara have this morning appeared in the High Court in Kimihurura for the hearing in a case where they are accused of forgery, divisionism and uttering discriminatory statements.
