{"id":37278,"date":"2018-04-11T12:16:42","date_gmt":"2018-04-11T12:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwanda-awarded-for-attracting-transformational\/"},"modified":"2018-04-13T10:37:52","modified_gmt":"2018-04-13T10:37:52","slug":"rwanda-awarded-for-attracting-transformational","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwanda-awarded-for-attracting-transformational\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwanda awarded for attracting transformational Foreign Direct Investments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AIM, taking place from 9th -11th April, is the world&#8217;s leading gathering of the international investment community, leading academics and experts showcasing up-to-date information, strategies and knowledge on attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).<\/p>\n<p>Investment promotion agencies from nine regions across the world were awarded and Rwanda Development Board emerged as the best Investment promotion agency in Eastern African region after Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving the award, the Chief Operations Officer of the Rwanda Development Board, Emmanuel Hategeka said that Rwanda the award evidence Rwanda\u2019s pro-business focus. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe AIM2018 Investment Award is given to a country based on feedback from a major investor already operating in the country based on their experience doing business in that country. In the case of Rwanda, the major investor that nominated Rwanda was AIF (Africa Improved Foods), a Dutch investment operating in the Kigali Special Economic Zone. This award is further evidence of Rwanda\u2019s pro-business focus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The reforms that the Government of Rwanda has instituted have created a conducive business climate.
