{"id":37149,"date":"2018-03-19T18:34:41","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T18:34:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/experts-in-kigali-discuss-eac-economic\/"},"modified":"2018-03-20T07:59:49","modified_gmt":"2018-03-20T07:59:49","slug":"experts-in-kigali-discuss-eac-economic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/experts-in-kigali-discuss-eac-economic\/","title":{"rendered":"Experts in Kigali discuss EAC economic transformation through sustainable energy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the Sustainable Development Goal 7, countries aim at having universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Secretary General in Charge of Administration and Finance of the East African Community (EAC) Christophe Bazivamo said that the region still has problems related with using energy due to the small number of industries and limited access by households.<\/p>\n<p>Energy generation in the EAC countries amounts to 4000MW in total.
