19.01.2018.<\/p>\n<p>2.\tThe Cabinet Meeting was briefed on Preparations for the 15th National Leadership Retreat.<\/p>\n<p>3.\tThe Cabinet Meeting was briefed on the 2017 Report on ILO Conventions (17, 26, 94, 100, 111, and 123) ratified by Rwanda;<\/p>\n<p>4.\tThe Cabinet Meeting approved the following papers:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe Revised National Forest Policy (NFP) and its Strategic Plan;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe National Tree Reproductive Materials Strategy\/NTRS;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe Arboretum of Ruhande to be endorsed for Queen&#8217;s Commonwealth Canopy The NEF Global Gathering 2018 will be organized under the theme \u201cConnecting Science to Humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>b)\tThe Minister of Trade and Industry informed the Cabinet Meeting that Rwanda will host the up-coming Extra-Ordinary Summit of the African Union Heads of States and Governments dedicated session to the signing and launch of the Agreement<\/p>\n<p>establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) on 21st March 2018.<\/p>\n<p>c)\tThe Minister of Gender and Family Promotion informed the Cabinet Meeting that<\/p>\n<p>the forthcoming International Women\u2019s Day is scheduled to take place on 8th March 2018, under the theme: &#8220;Munyarwandakazi, komeza umurava mu iterambere twubake u Rwanda twifuza&#8221;. This year\u2019s International Women\u2019s Day celebrations will be officially launched in Muhanga District, Kiyumba sector, Remera Cell, Nyanza Village.<\/p>\n<p>d)\tThe Minister of Sports and Culture informed the Cabinet Meeting that:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe 24th Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi will take place from 7th April 2018 under the theme: Remember- Unite-Renew \u201cKWIBUKA TWIYUBAKA\u201d. During the Commemoration period, various activities including the lighting of the Flame of Hope at the Gisozi Genocidal Memorial, walk to Remember, Remembrance of Politicians who stood against the genocidal ideology against the Tutsi will be conducted. Discussions will take place at village level.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe  African  Continental  Road  Cycling  Championship  is  taking  place  in<\/p>\n<p>Rwanda from 13th to 18th February 2018. Participants have come from 22 CAC member countries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tThe Senior Men\u2019s National Basketball Team will compete with Mali, Nigeria and Uganda in the Group B for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers<\/p>\n<p>2018.
