{"id":36946,"date":"2018-02-09T16:05:42","date_gmt":"2018-02-09T16:05:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/nyamagabe-district-gets-new-mayor\/"},"modified":"2018-02-14T08:14:46","modified_gmt":"2018-02-14T08:14:46","slug":"nyamagabe-district-gets-new-mayor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/nyamagabe-district-gets-new-mayor\/","title":{"rendered":"Nyamagabe District gets new mayor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uwamahoro was elected by District and Sectors\u2019 council committees after he had been elected to represent Kamegeri sector in the district council on February 3rd.<\/p>\n<p>He got 324 votes against his competitor Marie Louise Mujawayezu who got 13 votes of the total 337 voters.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to new responsibilities, Uwamahoro has been the Director of Planning, Reform and Capacity Building Unit at the Ministry of Labour and Public Service (MIFOTRA).<\/p>\n<p>His predecessor Mugisha was sacked days after he was arrested allegedly for  embezzlement and awarding public tenders illegally.
