{"id":36837,"date":"2018-01-22T10:06:05","date_gmt":"2018-01-22T10:06:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/former-ict-minister-nsengimana-appointed-advisor\/"},"modified":"2018-01-23T08:13:59","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T08:13:59","slug":"former-ict-minister-nsengimana-appointed-advisor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/former-ict-minister-nsengimana-appointed-advisor\/","title":{"rendered":"Former ICT Minister, Nsengimana appointed advisor to Smart Africa director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nsengimana started the new job last week after being appointed by President Paul Kagame who is also the Chairman of Board Members of the alliance.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to IGIHE, Nsengimana thanked Kagame for trusting him and giving him new responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank President Kagame for trusting and appointing me to the team that is representing Africa on the international scene in terms of ICT during the period of his leadership of the African Union Commission. I\u2019m ready to use all my efforts so that ICT will be the solution to problems that Africa is facing and become limitless opportunities to youth,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Nsengimana was dropped from government recently and replaced by Jean de Dieu Rurangirwa.<\/p>\n<p>Smart Africa is a framework for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the SMART Africa Manifesto, designed to make it actionable.
