{"id":36740,"date":"2018-01-09T17:14:32","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T17:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/how-teachers-guidance-helped-mugisha-lead-in-2017\/"},"modified":"2018-01-09T17:41:58","modified_gmt":"2018-01-09T17:41:58","slug":"how-teachers-guidance-helped-mugisha-lead-in-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/how-teachers-guidance-helped-mugisha-lead-in-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"How teachers guidance helped Mugisha lead in 2017 primary leaving examinations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 12-year old has emerged the best performer student in 2017 primary school\u2019s national examinations.<\/p>\n<p>Mugisha was studying at Saint Andr\u00e9- Ruhina in Shyogwe Sector of Muhanga District, Southern Province.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to IGIHE shortly after the results\u2019 release, Mugisha said that heeding to teachers\u2019 guidance and siding with God helped him perform excellently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTeacher\u2019s guidance helped me to study with the ambition to outshine. Drawing confidence from our school\u2019s performance in the previous years, I targeted to perform well too. I was good at Mathematics at first but I also invested many efforts in other subjects,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said he liked Mathematics highly but one of his teachers urged him to concentrate on other subjects and seek help from parents in case he failed to understand anything.<\/p>\n<p>Mugisha\u2019s father Nsengiyumva is a businessman while her mother Providence Umutesi is a teacher.
