{"id":36727,"date":"2018-01-08T17:57:34","date_gmt":"2018-01-08T17:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/tanzania-police-arrest-pregnant-schoolgirls\/"},"modified":"2018-01-08T17:56:51","modified_gmt":"2018-01-08T17:56:51","slug":"tanzania-police-arrest-pregnant-schoolgirls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/tanzania-police-arrest-pregnant-schoolgirls\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanzania police arrest pregnant schoolgirls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The arrest came following an order by District Commissioner Sebastian Waryuba in a crackdown to end teenage pregnancies in the region.<\/p>\n<p>According to the District Administrative Secretary Mr Mohamed Azizi, authorities are still looking for the men who impregnated the girls who disappeared shortly after a directive was issued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have managed to arrest the girls and their parents but unfortunately those who impregnated the girls have escaped and we are looking for them,\u201d Mr Azizi told The Citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Adolescent pregnancy in the region have been on the rise recently.
