{"id":36176,"date":"2017-11-02T11:18:29","date_gmt":"2017-11-02T11:18:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/international-company-to-construct-16-million\/"},"modified":"2017-11-05T15:24:49","modified_gmt":"2017-11-05T15:24:49","slug":"international-company-to-construct-16-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/international-company-to-construct-16-million\/","title":{"rendered":"International company to construct $16 million tantalum, niobium processing plant in Bugesera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The USD16 million plant is a result of discussions of the company and the government of Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the event, Gatare said that it is a remarkable step since the country started to promote the development of mining sector. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday we have made a great step by agreeing with this experienced company to establish a plant in Rwanda, supporting  our made in Rwanda programme and value addition for our products,\u201d Gatare said.<\/p>\n<p>The first of its kind to process Tantalum and Niobium in Africa, the plant will be constructed in Bugesera District based Industrial Zone and will have its mining quarries in Ngororero District.<\/p>\n<p>According to the mining board, the plant will also diversify Coltan production excavated in all Rwanda\u2019s mining quarries.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive Officer of PRG Plc, Ray Power<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-22422 alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/jwjw.jpg\" alt=\"The Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board, CEO, Francis Gatare and the Rwanda Development Board (RDB)&#039;
