{"id":36017,"date":"2017-10-09T11:02:04","date_gmt":"2017-10-09T11:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/school-donates-multi-purpose-furniture-to-nyamata\/"},"modified":"2017-10-09T11:01:44","modified_gmt":"2017-10-09T11:01:44","slug":"school-donates-multi-purpose-furniture-to-nyamata","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/school-donates-multi-purpose-furniture-to-nyamata\/","title":{"rendered":"School donates multi-purpose furniture to Nyamata Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Owned by Africa Transformation Network (ATN), a Christian Non-Governmental Organization, the school donated furniture worth Rwf1.6 million to Nyamata Hospital under one of its programmes \u2018Urwaze Ubukira\u2019, which started by distributing 15 sets of furniture that can be stretched out and used as chairs and beds. <\/p>\n<p>Clemence Uwineza, a caregiver at Nyamata Hospital said that the furniture comes in handy. \u201cWe, as caregivers, usually sleep with patients or sleep on the flour. It was not a good state. This furniture serves two purposes, for sitting during day and  sleeping during night,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The Director for Nyamata Hospital, Dr. Alfred Rutagengwa welcomed the donation saying the hospital will now have appropriate arrangements for patients and caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>The Executive Director of ATN Rwanda, Charles Kabeza, said the furniture was delivered to caregivers to enable them give utmost attention to patients for quicker recovery. \u201cWe provided this furniture to caregivers because we know the importance of care-giving in the healing process yet hospitals do not have facilities for them.
