{"id":35938,"date":"2017-09-28T21:51:17","date_gmt":"2017-09-28T21:51:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/government-gives-financial-support-to-csos\/"},"modified":"2017-09-28T21:48:34","modified_gmt":"2017-09-28T21:48:34","slug":"government-gives-financial-support-to-csos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/government-gives-financial-support-to-csos\/","title":{"rendered":"Government gives financial support  to CSOs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twelve Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have been awarded with a grant of Rwf300 million, Rwf25 million each, to continue with the implementation of programmes that are intended to transform people\u2019s livelihoods. <\/p>\n<p>In line with the seven years government programme, the government of Rwanda through Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), jointly with the One UN via UNDP initiated the joint programme on strengthening CSOs for responsive and accountable governance in Rwanda to contribute to the overall implementation of the Second Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS2)<\/p>\n<p>The benefitting CSOs had earlier  submitted their project proposals in four areas; family cohesion, agriculture, environment protection and legal aid.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the awarding ceremony, RGB chief executive officer, Professor Anastase Shyaka said that different ministries and institutions supported the exercise as  it complements their programmes.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-21898 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/ghyj.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-21899 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/yg.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-21900 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/fed-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twelve Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have been awarded with a grant of Rwf300 million, Rwf25 million each, to continue with the implementation of programmes that are intended to transform people\u2019s livelihoods.
