BNR was certified by TNV-UK Certification LTD, a United Kingdom-based certification body, becoming the first institution to be awarded such certificate in the East African Countries\u2019 Central Banks.<\/p>\n
It is a certificate that proves that the bank\u2019s system can protect confidentiality, integrity and protection of data from cyber-attacks. Speaking to IGIHE, Teddy Kaberuka, an economic analyst said that the certificate helps the holding institution create confidence among clients.<\/p>\n
He said that as the country seeks to embrace cashless economy, the certification guarantees that its information is secured from cyber-attacks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis certificate proves that BNR\u2019s information system is well secured, people will trust its cervices and clients stay assured about their money deposited in the bank,\u201d he said.
\nHe said that local banks will believe the security of their money in BNR.<\/p>\n
TNV certification Ltd is a conformity Assessment Body as per requirement of ISO 17021 and meet the requirement of all Mandatory Document of International Accreditation for the management system certification scheme.<\/p>\n
