{"id":35729,"date":"2017-08-28T12:15:21","date_gmt":"2017-08-28T12:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ubumwe-newspaper-owner-passes-on\/"},"modified":"2017-08-28T12:15:06","modified_gmt":"2017-08-28T12:15:06","slug":"ubumwe-newspaper-owner-passes-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ubumwe-newspaper-owner-passes-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Ubumwe newspaper owner passes on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{John Sendanyoye the proprietor and managing editor of  a local Ubumwe magazine passed away on August 25th, 2017.}<\/p>\n<p>Sendanyoye passed away on Friday at University Teaching Hospital Kigali where he had been admitted for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>His son Emmanuel Ishimwe told IGIHE that his father passed away on Friday at CHUK hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Ubumwe Magazine was founded on August 14th, 1992. The last edition of Ubumwe was published on August 20th, 2017 after the presidential elections.<\/p>\n<p>Jean GualbertBurasa the owner of Rushyashya newspaper a friend to the deceased told IGIHE that; \u201cJohn  Sendanyoye is a journalist who  worked long in the profession because I got to know him in 1992 as a  person who sold newspapers that were published at that time during former Habyarimana\u2019s regime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prayers will take place on Monday, August 28th, at Dominican Church at Kachyiru at 8:00 pm before burial takes place at Nyamirambo cemetery. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-21538 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/dfgh.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-21539 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/dfghki.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{John Sendanyoye the proprietor and managing editor of a local Ubumwe magazine passed away on August 25th, 2017.} Sendanyoye passed away on Friday at University Teaching Hospital Kigali where he had been admitted for treatment.
