{"id":3511,"date":"2012-10-15T05:35:23","date_gmt":"2012-10-15T05:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/korea-africa-economic-cooperation-conference\/"},"modified":"2012-10-15T05:48:58","modified_gmt":"2012-10-15T05:48:58","slug":"korea-africa-economic-cooperation-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/korea-africa-economic-cooperation-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Korea, Africa Hold Cooperation Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-1756 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/afdb.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>{{South Korea and the African Union are jointly holding the Korea Africa Economic Cooperation Conference in Seoul from Oct. 15-18, bringing 150 ministers and heads of 18 African nations and international organizations.}}<\/p>\n<p>The South Korean foreign ministry says, \u201cAfrica is the last growth engine of the world economy, which has unlimited growth potential,\u201d Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan said in a letter of invitation. \u201cThis forum is expected to provide a good opportunity (for South Korea) to strengthen ties with Africa.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The conference remains the biggest event co-organized between Africa and Korea.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s conference focuses on \u201cinclusive and green growth,\u201d and the program will include the ministerial roundtable, bilateral meetings of ministers, economic cooperation seminars, African countries\u2019 investor relation activities, and one-on-one business meetings.<\/p>\n<p>AfDB Senior Management and Executive Directors from Regional Member Countries will attend all the conference activities. <\/p>\n<p>The conference outcomes are expected to increase inclusive economic growth of African countries through the application of Korea\u2019s development approaches.<\/p>\n<p>It will also knowledge on inclusive growth in sectors such as human resource development, infrastructure, energy, information technology, agriculture and green growth;
