{"id":34991,"date":"2017-06-06T09:21:14","date_gmt":"2017-06-06T09:21:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ngoma-seized-narcotic-drugs-destroyed-as-police\/"},"modified":"2017-06-06T09:23:18","modified_gmt":"2017-06-06T09:23:18","slug":"ngoma-seized-narcotic-drugs-destroyed-as-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ngoma-seized-narcotic-drugs-destroyed-as-police\/","title":{"rendered":"Ngoma: Seized narcotic drugs destroyed as Police intensifies campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Police in Ngoma District have intensified awareness and operations against trafficking and use of narcotic drugs.}<\/p>\n<p>This is also intended to further break routes used by traffickers, who use Kirehe-Ngoma to Kigali.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Police, prosecution, local leaders and residents joined in a public exercise to destroy about 815 kilogrammes and 90 litres of the banned illicit gin \u2013 Kanyanga \u2013 seized in various operations.  <\/p>\n<p>While speaking to commercial motorcyclists, cyclists and residents who turned up for the destruction of narcotics in Kibungo Sector, the District Community Liaison Officer, Inspector of Police (IP) Theophile Ndayisaba called for ownership in reporting drug dealers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you say no to any illegal dealing or report anything unlawful, you are promoting safety, security and stability and that way, you are equally playing a policing role and building your nation as required,\u201d the DCLO told residents.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cDrug abuse has an effect on someone\u2019s state of mind. Anyone who consumes such substances can\u2019t perform well in class or even succeed in life.
