The car was coming from Kigali city to Remera on Tuesday 2nd October 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the car Murenzi Marcel didn\u2019t sustain any injuries. Witnesses say the accident could have been caused by the slippery road due to the rain.<\/p>\n<p>Other witnesses say the driver had been overspeeding which caused the car to lose control on the slippery road thus knocking down the street lamp.<\/p>\n<p>IGIHE arrived at the scene but the driver ,Murenzi, couldn\u2019t speak.<br \/>\nThe street lamp costs about Frw2.5million which will be paid by the driver subject to the city laws.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-1709 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/impanuka_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{{Police has impounded a car after it knocked down a street light pole .}} The incident occurred at Kanogo, Engen petrol station at Sopetrade.
