Water shortage at this health center has persisted for long,\u201d said Tuyishime Eugenie a parent who gave birth at the facility. <\/p>\n<p>Mukamana Mediatrice, another caretaker said: \u201cWe can\u2019t even find water to use in swallowing pills. A caretaker here is supposed to bring a jerrycan to collect water from far distant areas. What we want is to see water availed at the health center.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The director of Gatonde health center, Uwingabire Edith has said that they reported the matter to Gakenke district five years ago but nothing has been done. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe channel water-pipe system to this health center was ravaged five years ago. We reported the matter to the district which promised a solution but nothing was done.
