{"id":32457,"date":"2017-02-10T01:27:28","date_gmt":"2017-02-10T01:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/more-than-200-cars-are-missing-says-ghana-s\/"},"modified":"2017-02-10T01:27:23","modified_gmt":"2017-02-10T01:27:23","slug":"more-than-200-cars-are-missing-says-ghana-s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/more-than-200-cars-are-missing-says-ghana-s\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 200 cars are missing, says Ghana\u2019s presidency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Ghana\u2019s new government has set up a special task force to track down more than 200 missing vehicles that should have been handed back when President Nana Akufo-Addo took office.}<\/p>\n<p>Presidency spokesman Eugene Arhin told reporters yesterday that an audit of vehicles indicated that many appeared not to have been returned.<\/p>\n<p>He said officials could only find:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 74 of the presidency\u2019s 196 Toyota Land Cruisers<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 20 out of 73 Toyota Land Cruiser Prados<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 11 out of 24 Mercedes<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; two out of 28 Toyota Avalons<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; two out of six BMWs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president of the republic currently has virtually only one vehicle at his disposal,\u201d said Arhin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the vehicle which was purchased in 2007 during the Ghana at 50 celebrations.
