{President Paul Kagame has encouraged leaders to use the best of their abilities towards fulfilling their responsibility of improving the lives of Rwandans.}<\/p>\n

The President, who was accompanied by First Lady Jeannette Kagame, was addressing leaders from government entities and civil society organisations convened at the Kigali Convention Centre for this year\u2019s National Prayer Breakfast, an initiative by Rwanda Leaders\u2019 Fellowship (RLF).<\/p>\n

Alluding to the fact that all men are created equal, President Kagame called on Rwandans to cultivate the culture of self-belief since they were created with as abundant capabilities as anyone else across the globe.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen God created us, he did not put us in categories from superior to inferior. We are all created equal in capacity. This is why we cannot stay in a position of being eternally grateful to others without graduation to doing things ourselves,\u201d President Kagame said.<\/p>\n

The Head of State further reiterated that there is correlation between working for God and working as leaders of nations on earth.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us to be hopeful of better things after life, we must first fulfil our responsibilities in this life. As leaders, God has endowed us with abundant capacities to do good for ourselves and those whom we are supposed to serve,\u201d He said.<\/p>\n

President Kagame thanked God for the great achievements registered in 2016, and encouraged leaders to keep the momentum to ensure that Rwanda reaches even great heights in 2017.<\/p>\n

The Chairman of the Rwanda Leaders\u2019 Fellowship Pastor Antoine Rutayisire stressed that Rwanda owes development registered over the past few years to God who has availed the country with visionary leaders and bestowed a spirit of nationalism upon its citizens.<\/p>\n

The main achievements of 2016 include the inauguration of the Kigali Convention Centre, the hosting of both the African Union Summit and the World Economic Forum on Africa, the launch of medical service delivery drones, the 2016 World Bank Doing Business Report that ranks Rwanda as the second best country to do business in Africa, and sustained national security.<\/p>\n
