The process of clearing goods has, too, been simplified thus curbing the vice of smuggling,” said Tuyishime Augustin, a potter found at Cyanika one stop border.

“Transactions at the border have been eased and can be seen through fast service delivery,” said Uwineza Jeannette, a cross border business woman importing clothes from Uganda.

Cyanika one stop border post operates for 15 hours per day from 8:00 hours up to 20:00 hours.

Mukwiye James, Cyanika border manager has told IGIHE that the OSBP has as well improved good cooperation as Ugandans can easily do business in Rwanda and vice versa for Rwandans.

He further explained that it improved service delivery.

“Whatever we do, matches with government’s programs and service delivery services.
