{"id":30698,"date":"2016-11-30T01:29:15","date_gmt":"2016-11-30T01:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/president-kagame-first-lady-in-gabon-for-ceeac\/"},"modified":"2016-12-02T02:05:11","modified_gmt":"2016-12-02T02:05:11","slug":"president-kagame-first-lady-in-gabon-for-ceeac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/president-kagame-first-lady-in-gabon-for-ceeac\/","title":{"rendered":"President Kagame, first lady in Gabon for CEEAC meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{President Paul Kagame and First Lady have arrived in Gabon to attend the extraordinary session of Communaut\u00e9 Economique des \u00c9tats de l&#8217;Afrique Centrale (CEEAC) conference which Rwanda has rejoined after nine years.  }<\/p>\n<p>Member heads of state  are meeting today in Libreville, Gabon, to discuss security issues in the central Africa region. <\/p>\n<p>According to a statement issued by Ahmad Allam-Mi, CEEAC Secretary-General this  extraordinary session will be devoted to the examination of the political and security situation in Central Africa and focus on subjects related to the questions of peace and security in Central African Republic,  Democratic Republic of Congo Burundi and the fight against Boko Haram.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is held four months after Rwanda\u2019s minister of foreign affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo presented to the president of Gabon and head of CEEAC, Ali Bongo Ondimba with documents  where Rwanda accepted to rejoin the community it had left in 2007. <\/p>\n<p>CEEAC was established 1983 with the aim of improving cooperation and unity of Central Africa region with 10  member states including  Angola, Burundi, Cameroun, Central Africa, DRC, Gabon, Guin\u00e9e \u00c9quatoriale, Congo Brazzaville, Sao Tom\u00e9 Principe and Chad.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-16723 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/he_mu_gabon1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-16722 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/he_mu_gabon.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{President Paul Kagame and First Lady have arrived in Gabon to attend the extraordinary session of Communaut\u00e9 Economique des \u00c9tats de l&#8217;Afrique Centrale (CEEAC) conference which Rwanda has rejoined after nine years. } Member heads of state are meeting today in Libreville, Gabon, to discuss security issues in the central Africa region.
