{"id":30569,"date":"2016-11-24T06:26:45","date_gmt":"2016-11-24T06:26:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/uphold-rwandan-spirit-kaboneka\/"},"modified":"2017-02-28T19:22:41","modified_gmt":"2017-02-28T19:22:41","slug":"uphold-rwandan-spirit-kaboneka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/uphold-rwandan-spirit-kaboneka\/","title":{"rendered":"Uphold Rwandan spirit &#8211; Kaboneka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{The Minister of Local Government, Francis Kaboneka has said that the  Rwandan spirit should be upheld and even extended beyond the borders, especially the \u2018Ndi Umunyarwanda\u2019 that is meant to restore the faded values when Rwandans killed others during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.  }<\/p>\n<p>He noted this yesterday as he closed the civic education dubbed \u2018Impamyabigwi\u2019 for 216 members of civil society organizations that lasted a week from 17th to 23rd November 2016 in Nkumba of Burera district. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cWe teach Ndi Umunyarwanda because we lost Rwandan spirit which brought negative consequences to everyone.The Rwandan spirit should be taken to other parts of Africa,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cCivil society organizations and the government should all have a shared vision with regard to citizen\u2019s welfare, \u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Some participants explained that they had a good opportunity to explore Rwanda\u2019s history and areas with problems to be addressed which prepared them to facilitate Rwandans overcome such problems without waiting for foreign aid. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have learnt moral values that will help us to support Rwanda\u2019s progress. We would sometimes work separately which has to be corrected and prioritize our budget plans for citizens,\u201d said Rulinda Innocent. <\/p>\n<p>Mujawingoma Murigo Zipola said \u201cCivil society organizations existed in Rwanda long ago. We have learnt to work better for benefits of citizens.
