{"id":30542,"date":"2016-11-23T06:16:30","date_gmt":"2016-11-23T06:16:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ibuka-condemns-nahimana-ideology\/"},"modified":"2016-11-25T07:30:37","modified_gmt":"2016-11-25T07:30:37","slug":"ibuka-condemns-nahimana-ideology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ibuka-condemns-nahimana-ideology\/","title":{"rendered":"IBUKA condemns Nahimana ideology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{IBUKA, an umbrella organization of survivors of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi has largely condemned the preaching and ideology of Thomas Nahimana and requested the authorities in Rwanda to charge him with being a genocide denier. } <\/p>\n<p>Reverend Father Thomas Nahimana, 45, from Cyangugu diocese is known for his scathing attacks against the government of Rwanda and revisionism through his website, \u2018Le Proph\u00e8te\u2019 (the prophet) based in France where he has lived for 11 years.<\/p>\n<p>This priest who is on the way back to Rwanda seeks to register a political party \u2018Ishema\u2019 to field a candidate in the 2017 presidential polls.  <\/p>\n<p>Talking to IGIHE, the president of Ibuka Prof. Jean Pierre Dusingizemungu has said that Rwandans are against the ideology of Father Nahimana describing it as smearing and promoting discrimination. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIbuka find the ideology of priest Nahimana intended to create divisionism among Rwandans. We know how such discriminatory ideology led to the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
