While receiving his prize on Monday, 21, November, Reverien Simuganwa recounted his story;<\/p>\n
\u201cI was busy weeding my beans garden when I received a call from Tigo on Sunday. I couldn\u2019t believe my ears. I immediately left the farm and went to narrate what had just happened to my mother. I told her that Tigo just called me to tell me that I won five million\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I told my wife, she was so happy. In fact she couldn\u2019t believe it; she asked me to go to the Tigo headquarter and see if indeed it was true\u201d, Simuganwa said.<\/p>\n
The visibly overjoyed Reverien recounted his journey.<\/p>\n
\u201cI participated in the lottery normally, I would call sometimes, and text other times. Some days I would get discouraged and think I would never win. Now that I\u2019ve won, I left everyone in my neighbourhood calling *155#. They now believe that the promotion is real and that anyone can win.<\/p>\n
With this five million francs, I will set up my dream project, a piggery. I had always wanted to set up a pig rearing farm but lacked the means. In 2013 I tried with two pigs but ended up closing shop because I did not have enough starting capital.<\/p>\n
I have been using Tigo for the last five years, and I can testify that what Tigo is doing is benefiting the communities and is life-changing, especially for its customers.\u201d<\/p>\n
He concluded: \u201cPeople out here who are doubting that they can win, I say, \u2018try your luck\u2019.<\/p>\n
Every day, one lucky customer can win Rwf 5 million, ten customers can win Rwf 1 million each and 100 customers who can win Rwf 100,000 each. This means there could potentially be 111 winners every day.<\/p>\n
Ultimately, one lucky customer will win Rwf 10 million in a grand draw on 31st December 2016.<\/p>\n
Participation in the promo is very easy: All that a Tigo customer needs to do every day is to simply call \u2018155\u2019, send an SMS to \u2018155\u2019, or dial *155# and choose \u2018Kina\u2019 to check if they are winner. A customer who has participated will immediately receive a notification from \u2018155\u2019 informing them whether they have won a prize or not.<\/p>\n
All customers who participate in the promo on a daily basis will be automatically entered into the daily Rwf 1 million draw on Rwanda Television as well as the draw for the grand prize of Rwf 10 million.<\/p>\n
The daily draws on Rwanda Television will take place at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n
The cost of each SMS\/call is Rwf 100. Every time a customer sends an SMS to \u2018155\u2019, calls \u2018155\u2019 or dials *155# they will receive two free minutes and three free SMS to be used on the Tigo network. The awarded minutes and SMS will be valid until midnight of the same day.<\/p>\n
By sending a blank SMS, dialing 8155# or calling 155, all Tigo subscribers with the exception of employees and direct business partners are eligible for the daily instant prizes, and the daily draw on Rwanda National Television every evening at 7:30pm.<\/p>\n
