{"id":30256,"date":"2016-11-12T22:28:10","date_gmt":"2016-11-12T22:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/holland-extradites-two-genocide-suspects-to\/"},"modified":"2017-02-28T19:14:03","modified_gmt":"2017-02-28T19:14:03","slug":"holland-extradites-two-genocide-suspects-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/holland-extradites-two-genocide-suspects-to\/","title":{"rendered":"Holland extradites two Genocide suspects to Rwanda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Two Rwandan men accused of directly participating in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, were yesterday extradited to Rwanda where they will stand trial for their role in the mayhem that claimed lives of over a million Tutsis. } <\/p>\n<p>The suspects, Jean-Baptiste Mugimba 56, and Jean Claude Iyamuremye 38, arrived at Kigali International airport at 19.10hrs local time aboard KLM royal Dutch Airlines on extradition orders to account for their role in the Genocide.<\/p>\n<p>Upon the plane\u2019s touchdown, the duo remained on board for about 20 minutes before they disembarked and were led to the detainees\u2019 van that drove them off the tarmac to the terminal where they were handed to the judicial police for interrogation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe greatly thank the Dutch judicial authorities for their cooperation and relentless work during the extradition process since 2012.
