He released an arrest warrant for nine officers through an amorphous process that Rwanda criticized.

During a press conference held yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo said that Rwanda is ready to bring to justice French people whether politicians or soldiers who played a role in the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

Mushikiwabo said this as the National Commission for the Fight Against Genocide (CNLG) recently released a list of 22 French soldiers involved in the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

She explained that releasing the list doesn’t mean these soldiers are going to be arrested rather one way of justice leading to that.

Mushikiwabo explained that names of politicians involved in the 1994 genocide against Tutsi will follow the recent list of soldiers adding that this will mark the need to begin investigations.

She noted that Rwanda will try all the best to reveal the truth leading to pursuing French people involved in genocide.

Mushikiwabo however said that Rwanda won’t act like French Judge, Jean Louis Bruguière who woke up and selected names of people he claimed to have shot down the former president’s airplane without investigations.

“To issue arrest warrants, some processes have to be passed through.
