{"id":30178,"date":"2016-11-10T02:48:45","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T02:48:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kayonza-model-village-impresses-visiting-first\/"},"modified":"2016-11-11T06:55:45","modified_gmt":"2016-11-11T06:55:45","slug":"kayonza-model-village-impresses-visiting-first","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kayonza-model-village-impresses-visiting-first\/","title":{"rendered":"Kayonza model village impresses visiting First Lady"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{On her third day of her visit to Rwanda, Benin First Lady Claudine Talon along with her Rwanda counterpart Jeannette Kagame yesterday visited Indatwa Village built in Nyagatovu of Mukarange sector in Kayonza district, Eastern Province. }<\/p>\n<p>Indatwa village is a model in uplifting Rwandans from poverty which also has Early Childhood Development and Family Centre built by Imbuto Foundation. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-16298 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/first_lady_mrs_jeannette_kagame_and_mrs_claudine_talon_visiting_the_imbuto_foundation_early_childhood_development_and_family_centre-kayonza_-_9_november_2016.jpg\" alt=\"First Lady Jeannette Kagame and Claudine Talon visiting the Imbuto Foundation Early Childhood Development and Family Centre in Kayonza district yesterday  \" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Benin First lady and Madam Jeannette Kagame were taken through the village to witness the progress realized by resettled vulnerable dwellers who gave testimonies on how their lives have been transformed.   <\/p>\n<p>Uwicyeza Vestine, a resident of the village, showcased to the first ladies a kitchen backyard that helped her family and neighbors to overcome malnutrition and how  cows donated by president Paul Kagame have provided milk, income,  manure and biogas generation.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have achieved a lot in the last five years when we settled here. We have a communal kraal where we keep cows donated by president Kagame. Indeed, we have a beautiful house obtained from him which saw us graduate from grass-thatched houses and from disaster risk zones. We received water and electricity, a health center, a market all of which accompanied by good advice requiring us to grow in mind,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-16296 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/first_lady_mrs_jeannette_kagame_and_mrs_claudine_talon_touring_the_integrated_development_programme_model_village_-kayonza_-_9_november_2016_2_.jpg\" alt=\"First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame and Mrs Claudine Talon touring the integrated development programme model village in Kayonza district yesterday \" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Indatwa Village was built by Imbuto Foundation in collaboration with partners. It has 90 houses in which Rwandans from Ubudehe category of vulnerable people, people without residences, and repatriated refugees were resettled.
