Roger Ntawukuriryayo was on his way to The United States to resume studies after a two months holiday.<\/p>\n
Dr. Jean Damascene Ntawukuriryayo, the president of Rwanda senate, told IGIHE that his son flew out of Rwanda on August 23 enroute to U.S where he is a university student.<\/p>\n
He said his son had to make a stop over in Belgium to pick some documents before he would continue to U.S. Roger completed his college education in Belgium.<\/p>\n
Roger Ntawukiriryayo was reportedly walking with his two Rwandan friends and one Congolese friend. <\/p>\n
They encountered a group of other people numbering about eight; He was later stabbed in the stomach and severely injured. He was rushed to hospital. <\/p>\n
The attackers have not been identified and the motive of the attack hasn\u2019t been established. <\/p>\n
\u201cInvestigations are being conducted,\u201d its possible the attack could be related to the recent attacks against Rwandan citizens by Congolese nationals in Belgium,\u201d Dr. Ntawukuriryayo told IGIHE.<\/p>\n
IGIHE correspondent in Belgium said the Rwandan Embassy in Belgium is also making investigations into the matter.<\/p>\n
It is said the hospital where Roger Ntawukuriryayo is being hospitalized is heavily guarded by Police making it very difficult to access.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
