When it comes to relationships, why are men scared of women who are more successful than them. Even when a man finds a woman who loves him completely but is richer than him, he would be scared of having a relationship with her.<\/p>\n

Even though I\u2019m not one of those men who are scared of being with successful women, I think I understand where their fears come from. There are many stories about men who have suffered one sort of pain or another while they were in a relationship or marriage with women who are successful or rich. In fact, personally, I have dated a couple of them myself, so I totally understand what it is like.<\/p>\n
Success gives people a feeling of independence, and for some woman, that feeling can be difficult to control. Once they feel they\u2019re doing well, they get the impression that they can hold their own without a man. They become less respectful, caring, and available to the man in their life.<\/p>\n
The other thing is that due to past experiences or of those around them, women who are successful have a problem not believing that a man can love them for them, and not for what they have, own or the position they occupy in society. That belief makes it hard for them to open up and let their guard down to any man. And of course, that would always drive men away from them.<\/p>\n
Men like to be in charge, so not so many men would be willing to be in a relationship where they feel like they\u2019re unloved or unappreciated. No man would want to be with a woman who makes him feel like he\u2019s not worthy of her. That is why I think most men run away from women who are successful. There\u2019s also the notion held by a majority of the society, that men who run after successful women are gold diggers. That doesn\u2019t help either.<\/p>\n
The primary reason men are scared of dating richer and more successful women is because they believe they\u2019d be less relevant in such relationships.<\/p>\n
Men love to call the shots in the relationship, they love to be cherished and valued as well; these are part of a man\u2019s natural ego. But most men feel threatened when they are with a more successful woman; they feel their respect, value and authority would be usurped by such a woman.<\/p>\n
Traditionally, a man should be the breadwinner of a home, and every man who does this is usually more confident. When a woman is the richer partner and the major provider in the home, the man\u2019s ego might feels threatened as well. Men love to be dominant, call the shots and be the provider; this boosts their ego and makes them feel more relevant in the relationship.<\/p>\n
Also, men love to wow their women and thrill them with expensive treats. A richer woman surely can afford all that and might not really value those treats \u2014 that\u2019s the tape that plays in a man\u2019s head.<\/p>\n
Finally, it all boils down to a matter of love, respect and value that makes men scared of dating richer and more successful women.<\/p>\n
