{The family of Rwanda\u2019s last monarch, Kigeli V has not yet reached a consensus of holding his funeral in Rwanda as discussions are continued to reach agree with relatives living in America for the final decision. }<\/p>\n
Talking to the media after a family meeting of late Kigali V, Rutigana Medard one of his relatives, said that they have been holding meetings to agree on what should be done regarding funeral arrangements. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe had many questions in our meeting, so we consulted elder Pastor Ezra Mpyisi who used to advise the King since he knows much more about Kigeli V Ndahindurwa,\u201d said Medard. <\/p>\n
Pastor Mpyisi has also said that the family in Rwanda consented to burying the King in Rwanda.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll Rwanda is saddened by the death of the King and we are discussing about bringing his body to Rwanda for burial since it is where his kingdom was before being exiled,\u201d said Mpyisi. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe committed no offense in Rwanda and even abroad. Relatives and the government found no reason denying burial inside the country,\u201d added Mpyisi. <\/p>\n
Mpyisi explained that failure to bury King Kigeli V in Rwanda would be betrayal of his family. \u201cAs the advisor of the late, I want him buried in Rwanda,\u201d said Mpyisi adding that the family of the King in collaboration with the government wishes to bury the late King Kigeli V in Rwanda,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt is expected that his relatives in Rwanda will fly to America to discuss with relatives there and reach a consensus of where he should be buried,\u201d said Mpyisi. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
