{Rwanda\u2019s parliament has today morning at the parliamentary building paid last tribute to the late MP Nyandwi Desir\u00e9 who breathed his last on Friday.}<\/p>\n

The ceremony has been attended by over 300 mourners including government officials, the Prime Minister, Anastase Murekezi; the president of senate Bernard Makuza and the president of Supreme Court among others. <\/p>\n

President Paul Kagame\u2019s message has been read by the Minister in the office of the presidency, Venantie Tugireyezu in which the president said that he and his family are saddened by the demise of MP Nyandwi and will always remember him for his commitment to the perfect execution of national duties. <\/p>\n

\u201cRwanda has lost a leader and good worker with a character that treasures truth and patriotism,\u201d the message read. <\/p>\n

The Secretary General of Rwanda Patriotic Front, Fran\u00e7ois Ngarambe has said that the late Nyandwi will be remembered for good work as a member of this political party.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was committed to proper execution of his duties, and leaves a good legacy as a kind man,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

The Speaker of parliament, Hon Donatila Mukabalisa also lauded late Nyandwi for his apt contributions in parliament discussions where he was committed to sharing good ideas. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe leaves a gap in parliament where he worked for 14 years. He always strove for ideas that would be of benefit to citizens,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

MP Nyandwi, who served the government in various positions, leaves two children, a boy and girl.<\/p>\n

Nyandwi was the governor of former Gitarama Province from October 29th 1994 to February 7th 1999 before he joined the parliament.<\/p>\n

From 8th February1999 up to March 19th 2000 he was the Minister of Local Government for Social Affairs and he later served as the Minister of Local Government from November 11th March 2002 to 15th November, 2002.<\/p>\n

He was member of Transitional National Assembly from November 20th 2002 to August 22nd, 2003 and represented Rwanda Patriotic Front in parliament since October, 2003.<\/p>\n

Nyandwi D\u00e9sir\u00e9 was born on 4th March, 1954 and died at 62 years.<\/p>\n
