{President Paul Kagame has received credentials from four ambassadors to represent their countries to Rwanda.They all promised cooperation in economic development, infrastructure, investment and politics. } <\/p>\n

Ambassador, Chelva Retnam Rajah representing Singapore in Rwanda has been received before others. He has told the media that both countries will build from existing relations and cooperate to attain shared developments. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are ready to build on existing good relations and demonstrate where we can cooperate in a way enhancing mutual progress. That is what Singapore prioritizes,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Rwanda and Singapore have good relations rooted on business and investment, capacity building and offering political support. Diplomatic ties between the two countries started in 2005. <\/p>\n

The second ambassador received by president Kagame was Afonso Henriques Abreu de Azeredo representing Portugal in Rwanda and will be based in Addis \u2013Ababa, Ethiopia. <\/p>\n

He has unveiled to the press readiness on highlighting bilateral relations to achieve more. <\/p>\n

\u201c I have told president Paul Kagame that I am pleased and proud to be new ambassador of Portugal in Rwanda. This is a symbol that my leadership seeks to emphasize and expand bilateral relations,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

He explained that the recently signed agreements of building Bugesera international airport between Rwanda and Portugal is an indication of good cooperation. <\/p>\n

The airport will be constructed by a Portuguese company , Mota Engil Engenharia e Construcao Africa SA.<\/p>\n

USD 818 million will be invested in the project and expected to be completed in 2018.
\nAmbassador Afonso explained that they have discussed politics, economy and improvement of bilateral ties. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to strengthen economic cooperation starting from the construction of Bugesera International Airport,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Ambassador, Pekka Juhani Hukka will represent Finland in Rwanda, based in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam. <\/p>\n

He explained that bilateral cooperation will be rooted on the development of business and investment. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have talked on good relations between Rwanda and Finland. We already have good cooperation especially in private sector, business development and energy,\u201d he said.
\nAmbassador Dr.Peter Woeste of Germany also presented credentials. He has unveiled commitment to strengthen existing achievements. <\/p>\n

Rwanda, Germany relations started in 1963. <\/p>\n

Germany supports Rwanda in various sectors including education, decentralization and promoting good governance, private investment and youth development among others. <\/p>\n

Germany has invested USD 127.4 in Rwanda million over the past seven years in seven projects that created 420 jobs in industry, energy, construction and financial services. <\/p>\n
