The man originating from Karongi was identified on Tuesday by Mutete residents as he tried to give them fake notes. <\/p>\n
The police spokesperson in Northern Province, IP Gasasira Innocent has told IGIHE that the man is under police custody.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was arrested in Gaseke center near Kajevuba with forged Rwf 638,000. He comes from Karongi district,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
IP Gasasira said that the man is held at Byumba police station. <\/p>\n
If found guilty of the crime of money forgery, the man is subjected to a punishment ranging from two to five years of imprisonment and pay a fine multiplied from two to ten folds of the value of seized fake money as per article 604 of Rwanda Penal Code. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
