{"id":288,"date":"2011-06-03T06:26:43","date_gmt":"2011-06-03T06:26:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwandans-react-to-human-rights-body-s-report\/"},"modified":"2011-06-03T06:25:46","modified_gmt":"2011-06-03T06:25:46","slug":"rwandans-react-to-human-rights-body-s-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwandans-react-to-human-rights-body-s-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwandans react to human rights body\u2019s report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{Rwandans from different walks of life have denounced the Human Rights Watch recent criticism of the country\u2019s Gacaca traditional courts terming the courts a massive success story that ought to be modeled across board.<br \/>\n}}<\/p>\n<p>The report released on 31 May 2011 was titled \u201cJustice Compromised: The Legacy of Rwanda&#8217;s community-based Gacaca Courts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Gacaca was conducted in our own traditional way regardless of the challenges it faced,\u201d said Emmy Arsonval Maniriho, a student at the National University of Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRwanda could not solve everything in a single day.
