{"id":28730,"date":"2016-09-19T10:46:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-19T10:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/genocide-ideology-cannot-be-allowed-in-church\/"},"modified":"2016-09-26T05:45:30","modified_gmt":"2016-09-26T05:45:30","slug":"genocide-ideology-cannot-be-allowed-in-church","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/genocide-ideology-cannot-be-allowed-in-church\/","title":{"rendered":"Genocide ideology cannot be allowed in church \u2013Smaragde"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{The Bishop of Kabgayi diocese, Smaragde Mbonyintege has said that at this time in Rwanda\u2019s history, no Rwandan can decide to commit genocide again unless one is mentally ill. }<\/p>\n<p>He has said this today during an event of presenting results of a research carried out by the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission to religious leaders where he said that findings are promising hope among Rwandan livelihoods and togetherness. <\/p>\n<p>Bishop Mbonyintege remarks are based on statistics of Unity and Reconciliation in Rwanda indicating that 92.5 % of citizens feel to have reconciled, up from 82.3% for the year 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Statistics also indicate that 28.9% people consent that genocide may happen again if nothing is done to consolidate the achievements in unity and reconciliation, 27.9% still give attention to ethnicity while 25.8% argue that genocide ideology still exists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople holding thoughts of committing genocide are racial discriminators guided by genocide ideology. As far as I am concerned, no living human needs to commit genocide unless one has inert brains,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Musanze tops  districts a large number of people that harbor ethnic beliefs,  discrimination and other with genocide ideologies followed by Rubavu, Gasabo, Nyarugenge, Ruhango, Nyanza and Nyagatare districts.<\/p>\n<p>{{Not in church }}<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Mbonyintege has warned that no one can be allowed to take genocide ideology to the church. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cGenocide ideology cannot be brought in church. It is harbored outside since the church itself fights against genocide ideology.
