Rwanda Today\u2019s writer Charles Kwizera won in the \u2018Higher Education\u2019 category. <\/p>\n
Wanjohi Kabukuru of the African Business (The Green Award). In addition, African Laughter\u2019s Robert Koigi won in category of \u2018Agriculture and Food Security Reporting\u2019. <\/p>\n
Omondi also won an award in the Political Federation Reporting category, while NTV\u2019s Abby Agina won the broadcasting reporting category award at the event organised by EAC and the East African Business Council.<\/p>\n
The EAC Secretary -General\u2019s Award 2012 was delivered by Rwandan Prime Minister Pierre Damien Habumuremyi and the bloc\u2019s secretary-general Richard Sezibera at a gala held in Kigali Serena Hotel 9th August.<\/p>\n
The competition, now in its second year, attracted journalists from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.<\/p>\n
Other journalists that participated included; Dorothy Nakaweesi, of Uganda\u2019s Daily Monitor, scooping the EABC Chairman\u2019s Award for the best entry in the Business and Financial Reporting category, while The Citizen\u2019s Zephania Ubwani (Tanzania) took the Health Reporting category. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
