{"id":28712,"date":"2016-09-19T02:09:52","date_gmt":"2016-09-19T02:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ipad-meeting-returns-to-rwanda\/"},"modified":"2016-09-19T02:08:34","modified_gmt":"2016-09-19T02:08:34","slug":"ipad-meeting-returns-to-rwanda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ipad-meeting-returns-to-rwanda\/","title":{"rendered":"iPAD meeting returns to Rwanda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{ {KIGALI, RWANDA &#8211; The third edition of the iPAD Rwanda Energy Infrastructure Forum returns to Kigali in November.}  }} <\/p>\n<p>{Organisers have been assured of the continued official support of the state power utility REG, the Rwandan Ministry of Infrastructure as well as the Rwandan Development Board.  }  <\/p>\n<p>The Rwandan Minister of Infrastructure, the James Musoni, will once again deliver the welcome address during the opening session on November 1st.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe continuing success of the event has provided in the national utility group and the  Government of Rwanda the continued confidence to endorse the upcoming edition,\u201d Jean Bosco Mugiraneza, the CEO of the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) said. <\/p>\n<p>iPAD Rwanda is organised by Spintelligent, leading Cape Town-based trade exhibition and conference organiser, and the African office of Clarion Events Ltd, based in the UK. Other flagship events in Spintelligent\u2019s power portfolio on the continent are African Utility Week, the West African Power Industry Convention (WAPIC), East African Power Industry Convention (EAPIC) and iPAD Cameroon Energy &#038; Infrastructure Forum.<\/p>\n<p>Mugiraneza said,  \u201cThe two-day forum provides market entry for international as well as local investors, financiers, project developers, advisors, technology and solution providers to join together in dynamic interactive discussions to develop the sector efficiently and effectively, setting clear strategies and public private partnerships for success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the networking opportunities provided for international and local solution providers to engage in credible business consortiums designed to deliver a viable investment and delivery plan to progress Rwanda\u2019s energy mandate and assorted infrastructure projects avails our continuing support. <\/p>\n<p>Last year, the second edition of iPAD Rwanda drew almost 400 attendees from 30 countries, which was an increase of 60%.<\/p>\n<p>Supported by case studies, best practice, macro scene-setting and focused table sessions, iPAD Rwanda will showcase the progress made and the work still to be undertaken to deliver on Rwanda\u2019s development agenda of Vision 2020, which is to achieve 70% electrification connectivity by 2018 and 563MW generation capacity.
