{"id":27782,"date":"2016-08-17T02:22:14","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T02:22:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/speeding-ngo-vehicle-overturns-found-trafficking\/"},"modified":"2016-08-17T02:21:52","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T02:21:52","slug":"speeding-ngo-vehicle-overturns-found-trafficking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/speeding-ngo-vehicle-overturns-found-trafficking\/","title":{"rendered":"Speeding NGO vehicle overturns, found trafficking drugs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Police in Nyamasheke District has intercepted 86 kilograms of cannabis that were found in a Toyota Land cruiser belonging to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) that overturned due to over-speeding.}<\/p>\n<p>According to the Western Region Police Spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Theobald Kanamugire, the incident involving the vehicle plate number IT 904RD, happened on August 15 at around 23:30pm in Kadashya Village of Kanazi cell in Ruharambuga sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver was moving at a very high speed when he lost control and the vehicle overturned. The vehicle and the narcotics were discovered by the night patrol few minutes after the incident,\u201d CIP Kanamugire said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon reaching the vehicle, they found 86 kilogrammes but the driver had disappeared.
