{"id":27297,"date":"2016-07-29T08:07:25","date_gmt":"2016-07-29T08:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/senior-police-officers-awarded-phds\/"},"modified":"2016-08-02T06:01:58","modified_gmt":"2016-08-02T06:01:58","slug":"senior-police-officers-awarded-phds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/senior-police-officers-awarded-phds\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior police officers awarded PhDs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Among the more than 8500 students graduating from the University of Rwanda this Friday is a police officer to be awarded a PhD. }<\/p>\n<p>Sim\u00e9on Sebatukura, a lecturer in University of Rwanda will be awarded the PhD degree in Clinical Psychology having successfully conducted a research on the same subject in the last five years. He has been teaching in the university since 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sebatukura\u2019s  findings have been published in his dissertation titled \u201cAnalysis of the Practice of Mental Healthcare in Hospitals of Rwanda\u201d in which he explores how mental health in Rwanda can be improved. <\/p>\n<p>He makes several recommendations including the increment of mental doctors and psychiatrists in district hospitals to work with nurses in addressing mental health challenges. <\/p>\n<p>His findings identified the major causes of mental problems as; trauma, drug abuse (Toxicomania), schizophrenia, epilepsy among others. <\/p>\n<p>Another senior officer to be awarded a PhD in public health is ACP Wilson Rubanzana.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-13844 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/senior_police.jpg\" alt=\"Sim\u00e9on Sebatukura, a lecturer in University of Rwanda\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-13843 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/police-9.jpg\" alt=\"ACP Wilson Rubanzana, another senior officer to be awarded a PhD in public health. \" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{Among the more than 8500 students graduating from the University of Rwanda this Friday is a police officer to be awarded a PhD. } Sim\u00e9on Sebatukura, a lecturer in University of Rwanda will be awarded the PhD degree in Clinical Psychology having successfully conducted a research on the same subject in the last five years.
