The second African Women Economic Summit begins today (Wednesday) in Lagos, Nigeria. The summit will conclude on 14th July. <\/p>\n
African governments, regulators, research and academic institutions, non-governmental organisations, big business and civil society are expected to discuss topics around the development of women in finance.<\/p>\n
The meeting is being co-organised by the African Development Bank in partnership with New Faces New Voices.<\/p>\n
Speakers at the conference would include Dr. Donald Kaberuka, president of AfDB, and Graca Machel, founder of New Faces New Voices.<\/p>\n
The meeting will also focus on understanding the role regulators and business in Africa.<\/p>\n
The keynote address will be delivered by the Minister of Finance, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.<\/p>\n
