{Malawi Police have arrested a suspected buyer of albino bones in the Eastern Region District of Machinga , a woman identifies as Mary Gumbo.}<\/p>\n
Gumbo offered to buy albino bones or bones of anybody who suffered from Leprosy and two men who were caught with human bones.<\/p>\n
Machinga Police Publicist Dave Sulumba said Gumbo hired two men as Mussa Kachepa and Mohammed James.<\/p>\n
According to Sulumba, Gumbo asked the two to fetch for albino bones or anyone who suffered from Leprosy.<\/p>\n
He said the two only managed to exhume bones of someone who suffered from Leprosy and were apprehended with the bones.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey pleaded guilty to the charges laid against them in court and the case is yet to be concluded\u201d said Sulumba.<\/p>\n
According to Sulumba, the two are answering charges of being found in possession of human tissues (bones) which is contrary to Section 129 of the Penal Code.<\/p>\n
The Police Public Relations Officer further said Gumbo has been charged with conspiricy to commit a felony contrary to Section 404 of the Penal Code.<\/p>\n
The police are still interrogating Gumbo.<\/p>\n
Kachepa, 47 hails from Koliha Village while James comes from Karambo Viollage, T\/A Kawinga in he same district of Machinga.<\/p>\n
About 18 cases of killing and abduction of people with albinism has been reported since 2014.<\/p>\n
