{The international Muslim community has started a one month Ramadan period, the ninth month of the Muslim calendar during which strict fasting is observed from dawn to dusk.}<\/p>\n
Rwanda counts almost 2,000,000 Muslims. The new Mufti of in Rwanda , Sheikh Salim Hitimana says that muslims should behave like the prophet Muhammad would behave in Ramadan period.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis holy month of Ramadan is a fasting offered as a gift of Allah. I advise muslims to act like the prophet Muhammad would behave in similar period of Ramadan,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cHe would wake up his family and pray the whole night until the night separates from the morning as a way of staying close to Allah,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Mufti Sheikh Salim says that this period should be a time for muslims to embrace good behaviors and approach God keeping themselves away from bad acts. <\/p>\n
