{The bilateral relations between Rwanda and Turkey have been strengthened with the latter\u2019s opening of a fully fledged embassy in Kigali. The Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs , Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu inaugurated the Turkish embassy in Rwanda expected to improve service delivery to citizens who would seek services of the embassy in Uganda where it had a headquarter.}<\/p>\n

The newly launched embassy is located in Kimihurura sector of Gasabo district behind the buildings of foreign affairs ministry, ministry of trade and ministry of East African Affairs.<\/p>\n

Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu arrived in Rwanda on May 30th, 2016 .He is among delegates that accompanied the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan who has visited Uganda.
\nThe ceremony of inaugurating the embassy was preceded by signing three cooperation agreements between Rwanda and Turkey.<\/p>\n

Minister \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu expressed delightfulness for his visit as the first Turkish minister of foreign affairs coming to Rwanda and promised to come back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am happy with the official inauguration of this embassy along with my sister Louise Mushikiwabo, Rwanda\u2019s minister of foreign affairs. This embassy will help Turkey citizens and Rwandans as well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Minister of foreign affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo said that it is of great pleasure to have received Turkish envoys in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

\u201cRwanda and Turkey are in cooperation rooted on friendship and profit generating activities. Doing so, we want our people to gain and we have vowed to collaborate in various things in the region, Africa and Worldwide. We are glad for ten years since Turkey accepted to become Africa\u2019s partner and has demonstrated tangible activities in Africa,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Minister Mushikiwabo said that some Turkish business people have invested in Rwanda and added that the visit emphasizes the improvement of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
