{Durban \u2013 A man was killed and three other people injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a taxi on the M4 South Victoria Embankment on-ramp on Tuesday, paramedics said.}<\/p>\n
Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the driver and a passenger trapped in the taxi, said Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson. <\/p>\n
A third passenger, sitting in the rear of the vehicle, was also seriously injured.<\/p>\n
“The Durban Fire Department and Netcare 911 rescue unit worked together to free the trapped patients while paramedics worked to stabilise them,” he said.<\/p>\n
Once they had all been stabilised and freed they were taken to various Durban hospitals.<\/p>\n
Shortly after arriving at hospital, one of the three died.<\/p>\n
The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to nearby hospital, said Jamieson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
