{"id":25308,"date":"2016-05-13T04:48:16","date_gmt":"2016-05-13T04:48:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/the-government-of-rwanda-signs-mou-with-thomson\/"},"modified":"2016-05-15T08:53:11","modified_gmt":"2016-05-15T08:53:11","slug":"the-government-of-rwanda-signs-mou-with-thomson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/the-government-of-rwanda-signs-mou-with-thomson\/","title":{"rendered":"The Government of Rwanda signs MoU with Thomson Reuters to collaborate on innovative solutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has signed today, a Memorandum of Understanding with Thomson Reuters to fast-track innovation in Rwanda, in line with the government\u2019s SMART Rwanda Master Plan and vision for the Kigali Innovation City.}<\/p>\n<p>The strategic partnership has been made official at the World Economic Forum, held between 11 and 13 May 2013 in Kigali, Rwanda, by Francis Gatare, the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Development Board and Sneha Shah, Managing Director of Thomson Reuters Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The MOU outlines a framework for strengthening cooperation and facilitating collaboration between the RDB and Thomson Reuters in training and development and capacity building through innovative solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the signing, Francis Gatare said, \u201cWe are proud to enter into a partnership with Thomson Reuters Africa. We are confident that this collaboration aligns with Rwanda\u2019s plan to stimulate economic innovation by helping our citizens grow their business through cutting edge technology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Shah remarked that such strategic partnership will play a key role in fast-tracking innovation in Rwanda and in turn, enable the younger generation to solve both the country and region\u2019s challenges, ultimately leading to sustainable economic growth in the future.
