{"id":24818,"date":"2016-04-22T09:51:57","date_gmt":"2016-04-22T09:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/inatek-top-managers-arrested\/"},"modified":"2016-04-22T09:51:48","modified_gmt":"2016-04-22T09:51:48","slug":"inatek-top-managers-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/inatek-top-managers-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"INATEK top managers arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Two top administrators of the former Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education (INATEK) which has recently changed to UNIK have been arrested over alleged misappropriation of university\u2019s wealth.}<\/p>\n<p>The arrested include Dr.Emmanuel Hafashimana Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration and Finance and Kayumba Patrick, the Director of Finance and Administration.<\/p>\n<p>Information IGIHE has received indicates that Kayumba Patrick forged a tender document while Dr Hafashimana signed for the bills of the ghost market without verification of what he was signing for.<\/p>\n<p> It is said that Kayumba forged documents for a bid worth Rwf 9 million. <\/p>\n<p>The fraud was identified after a comprehensive audit of UNIK books of accounts. <\/p>\n<p>Dr Hafashimana is a military officer of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) which posed the need for the two suspects to be tried by military court martial. <\/p>\n<p>IGIHE tried to talk to the spokesperson of RDF, Lt Col Ngendahimana Ren\u00e9 who was by then busy with other duties. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-11879 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/4b4a6180ce9f770ad234687857276ed7.jpg\" alt=\"Premises of INATEK \" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{Two top administrators of the former Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education (INATEK) which has recently changed to UNIK have been arrested over alleged misappropriation of university\u2019s wealth.} The arrested include Dr.Emmanuel Hafashimana Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration and Finance and Kayumba Patrick, the Director of Finance and Administration.
