{"id":24788,"date":"2016-04-21T10:24:13","date_gmt":"2016-04-21T10:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/direct-aid-donate-80-cows-to-vulnerable-genocide\/"},"modified":"2016-04-21T10:23:05","modified_gmt":"2016-04-21T10:23:05","slug":"direct-aid-donate-80-cows-to-vulnerable-genocide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/direct-aid-donate-80-cows-to-vulnerable-genocide\/","title":{"rendered":"Direct Aid donate 80 cows to vulnerable genocide survivors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Total of 40 families of 1994 Tutsi genocide survivors from Nyarugenge Gasabo, Bugesera and Gatsibo districts on Tuesday this week received donations of 80 cows worth more than Rwf 24,000,000 from Direct Aid, a nongovernmental organization of Muslims which donated a cow and a calf to each of the selected families.}<\/p>\n<p>The event of handing over the cows was held at Murindi in Gasabo district.<\/p>\n<p>The Director in charge of monitoring activities and wealth creation at Direct Aid, Idrisa Musa Idrisa said that donations are meant to contribute to the development of Rwandans especially recognizing vulnerable genocide survivors during this commemoration period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have committed to offer donations to genocide survivors since it is among our programs of facilitating the progress of Rwandan community including paying school fees for vulnerable students from primary, secondary schools and university and supporting various development projects of citizens as well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Uwayezu Mary, one of beneficiaries said that they will maximize benefits from the  donations for quick progress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very happy since no child of mine or neighbor\u2019s child will suffer from Kwashiorkor since we will have enough milk.
