{"id":24556,"date":"2016-04-13T01:08:48","date_gmt":"2016-04-13T01:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/researchers-reveal-how-often-couples-should-have\/"},"modified":"2016-04-13T01:08:36","modified_gmt":"2016-04-13T01:08:36","slug":"researchers-reveal-how-often-couples-should-have","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/researchers-reveal-how-often-couples-should-have\/","title":{"rendered":"Researchers reveal how often couples should have sex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{How often do you have sex with your spouse?}<\/p>\n<p>Researchers from the University of Toronto Missisauga have revealed how often you should have sex with your spouse.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of being happy, you really only need to have sex once a week \u2013 any more than that is just showing off, Metro reports.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from 25,510 Americans aged 18 to 89, the researchers found that having sex around once a week is the sweet spot for happiness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do think couples can end up feeling pressure to try to engage in sex as frequently as possible,\u201d Amy Muise of the University of Toronto Mississauga said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce a week is a more realistic goal to set than thinking you have to have sex everyday and that feels overwhelming and you avoid it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis showed a linear association between sex and happiness up to a frequency of once a week, but at higher frequencies there is no longer an association.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore it is not necessary, on average, for couples to aim to engage in sex as frequently as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-11603 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/black-couple-in-bed.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{How often do you have sex with your spouse?} Researchers from the University of Toronto Missisauga have revealed how often you should have sex with your spouse.
