A new research found that an apple a day really keeps the doctor away.}<\/p>\n<p>Researchers from the University of Western Australia found that eating an apple a day slashes the risk of dying early by 35 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers also found that women who ate more than 100 grams of the fruit each day \u2013 one small apple \u2013 were likely to have a longer life expectancy than those who didn\u2019t, reports Mail Online.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers studied 1,456 persons aged 70 to 85 for 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>According to the researchers, apples have high levels of flavonoids and fibre which are linked to artery relaxation, lower cholesterol and blood pressure and a reduced cancer risk.<\/p>\n<p>Apples are also a good source of magnesium, potassium and vitamin C.<\/p>\n<p>So make sure you eat an apple today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{When was the last time you had an apple?
